The Atkins Diet
Atkins diet is an amazing weight loss program, where you will never go hungry again yet still lose extra pounds. This is not a gimmick, it has been around for decades now.
Eat all of the meat, cheese, eggs, fats (like butter and oils) as you like. No calorie counting.
The trick?
Eliminate carbohydrates from your meals. The amazing thing is that you will feel better mentally and physically while doing this program. You will find that your cravings for foods will go away and comfort foods are no longer necessary.
The Atkins diet is relatively easy to follow and there are no complicated meal plans.
Any of the weight loss programs that limits carbohydrate causes the body to rely on fat or muscle for energy, and may cause dehydration. When our body breaks down stored fat to supply energy, it creates a by-product called ketones. These by-products suppress appetite, yet they also cause fatigue and nausea. Anyone with diabetes, heart, or kidney problems should not follow weight loss programs that promote the formation of ketones, including the Atkins plan.

The Zone Diet

It means getting your calories in a 40-30-30 ratio, this means 40% calories from carbohydrates, 30% from protein, and 30% from fat. Using the Zone Diet, you can benefit from more energy, lower blood pressure, lower cholesterol. The Zone Diet works by matching the right ratio of carbohydrates to proteins and fats in order to control the insulin in the bloodstream. Fruits and vegetables are the preferred source of carbohydrates and monounsaturated fats, such as olive oil, almonds, avocados, are the ideal source of  fats. The American Heart Association does not recommend this program, because of the high protein level.

South Beach Diet
The South Beach diet was developed by cardiologist Dr. Arthur Agatston. Dr. Agatston has created a carbohydrate plan, with plenty of high-fiber foods, lean proteins, and healthy fats, while cutting bread, rice, pastas, and fruits. This works in phases, the first two for a specific timeframe and the third phase for life. You eat normal portion sizes in phase one, but all carbohydrate are restricted. This is the strictest phase in the program and will last for two weeks. It emphasizes lean meats, such as chicken, turkey, fish, and shellfish. In phase two, some of the banned food are slowly introduced while weight loss continue to around 1-2 pounds per week. Phase three is for maintenance and should be followed for life.
