The Physics of Weight Lifting Part Five, Strength

Gravity helps us as we begin weight lifting more than we know. You didn’t know those physics classes paid off did you? Well they did. With gravity being the cause of things being forced towards earth, this is why we have weight. With gravity, as you weight lift, gravity allows what is called momentum to do the work, but with this in mind you should go at a nice slow pace as you can overwork yourself. So, the best way to weight lift is to increase intensity and here is how.

1. The first way to make sure that you increase intensity is never to cut any ends. If you are able to do a movement in a complete range of motion, then do all of that range of motion and not just half of it. Many people try slacking off and this is why you will not see much improvement in strength in the extremity of that motion. To stimulate your muscle completely, try to work in different angles of a motion by doing different exercises of the same muscle group.
2. Sometimes you have to add more. This means that you might have to add more weight to reach the results that you are looking for. Adding more weight will stimulate your muscle making it increase its’ strength to adapt to the new stimulus.  Some people become comfortable with the amount they are lifting, but if you don’t add weight then you don’t intensify your session and you won’t see the results that you want to see.
3. Keep the tempo (time that you take to do one repetition of your exercise) consistent. If you take some rest between each repetition you will decrease your intensity. This isn’t something that you want to do. Rest will be important between exercises, you want to rest longer enough to keep a good intensity during your work but not long to decrease the intensity of your total workout.

With these easy tips in mind you can increase the strength that you need in order to lift weight properly and gain the muscles that you are wishing to gain. As you can see there are many ways that you can make physics work in your favor when it comes to weight lifting. These are just a few tips to help you increase the strength that is needed to lift weights properly. The main thing is to have intensity as you work your muscles. Without this, you are doing nothing for yourself. Just make sure you know how much you can handle because as you add intensity, you can over stress yourself and find yourself back to where you started as you have to sit out for a while. So, if you are looking for new results, remember these tips and watch physics do what it does best. So, give a hand at physics for weight training couldn’t be easier than with how easy it is with good old physics
