Get Skinny, Lose Fat

Here is the Simple plan I use to lose weight and keep it under control:

First, I watch my short term energy supply. I know, "it's in the liver". I don't literally watch it. Here is what I like to do. I like to wear out my short term energy supply several times a week, daily would be best. I don't just deplete it, I go beyonddepletion because that is the only way the body will begin to utilize my fat stores.

How doIknow when I have gone beyond my short term energy supply? As far as Iam aware, there is no way to know specifically whenI have reached that point.In general, after about 45 minutes of walking,I should be burningfat.

Yes, it takes that long. I like to walk for an hour and 1/2 to 2 hours several times a week. I also practice the exercises of Falun Dafa. They are very gentle, easy to do exercises thatkeep my body healthy.

If I really wanted to lose weight, I would do more of the exercises and more walking. However, I'm pretty skinny now so that is not an issue for me. Weight maintenance is the critical factorfor my situation. I'm approaching 40 and I'm not that interested in sporting the over 40 belly.

I listen to audio lectures so that my walking time is also productive and useful. Everyone has something they want to learn more about. Putting on a headset and listening to the information you are interested in or need to learn while walkingmakes practical use of thattime.

Ican learn and burn at the same time.It's easy.

Second, I know that if I want to lose or maintain weight, I need to watch my diet. Temptation is everywhere.I know I have to resist the urge to eat foods that are high in fat. That means that I focus more on salads, oatmeal, fruits, vegetables, lean meat, and skim milk.

Milk is a big one. I have trained myself to like skim milk. 2% or 1% milk is not good enough. Organic skim milk helps me to insurethat my body is getting a complete protein. Meat is the same way. I want to be skinny, but no gaunt. Maintaining muscle mass is very important during weight loss. There are at least two reasons for this. The first is that being skinny with no muscle tone is akin to looking sickly. Second, resting muscle burns more calories than resting fat or any other type of body tissue.

Therefore, while in the process of losing weight it is very important to do some kind ofmuscle building exercise, just doing aerobics is not enough.If you really don't want to pump iron at thegym, consider Russian kettlebells.They are convenient, you canput one in your closet and you can work out at home, whenever you want to.
